Any type will do as long as comfortable. Will use for movies too. Portability is not an issue.
Tks.

Try the KRK KNS-8400 or Koss Pro DJ 100. DJ100 with an amp is pretty crystal clear to me and detail level is even better with a good source or computer DAC.
With the DJ100 you can use the M50 pads too.
You could also look into the SRH-940, but I think the above two sound better.
Wow! this is awesome...never heard of this cans before...no kidding.
Tks for this sharing mate. Appreciate it. Will add to my list...
akg q701 and beyerdynamic dt880
might be a stretch though, and amping is recommended for both, but definitely worth it
Second the 8400s. Fantastic headphones.
Thanks so much mates....really appreciate it. If there are any more that i can consider, please let me know...
Currently in my list:
KRK KNS 8400
Q701 - stretch
Beyer 880 - stretch
Koss Pro DJ 100
If you're on a pretty small budget, the KRK KNS 6400 are 90% as good as the KNS 8400, and with a slightly different sound signature that was more pleasant to my ears. Still utter detail monsters, more than any other closed can I've ever heard. They can be had for about $70 as opposed to $100+ for KNS 8400.
This you will be blown away with either
But they have to be amped, Fiio e10 Dac/Amp is enough juice
Thanks soundstige and tunnelvision42 ... appreciate your comments.
I found the 6400s to be definitely inferior to the 8400s both in terms of sound quality and comfort.
AKG Q701. You get near perfect soundstage, rich bass that is NOT shaking or overwhelming in the slightest, you can hear things in music you never knew existed, everything is crystal clear, they are so extremely comfortable, and they are only $240 on Amazon. I own a pair, and honestly, they blow everything else out of the water. Truly fantastic headphones.

Thank you guys so much...appreciate it...
Q701 look really really awesome !
Hmmmm....
