I am thinking of selling my pair of Sony Qualia 010s -- I thought I would be setting up a secondary rig in the bedroom with them, but it never came into fruition due to how busy I've been lately. Plus, I think the money may be better spent rebuilding a proper speaker rig (yes, I do miss speakers!)
The Qualias are in mint condition -- 9.5+/10 on the Audiogon scale. The previous owner purchased them on a whim at the Sony Store in Caesar's Palace while in Vegas many years ago, and he only used them a few times since, with it sitting in the closet for most of its life. I myself have not used them for more than a few hours either -- I estimate 30 hours of total on-head time, but this is a very conservative estimate and it's likely much less than that. Almost all of my listening in the past few months have been with my Stax SR-009s on my main rig, hence the Qualia's low use.
The headband is a size medium, and both it and the earpads are in brand new condition with zero signs of wear. It even smells minty. The same goes with the rest of the headphone, aside from two very minor blemishes on the hinges on the front. If I didn't mention this I don't think anyone would be the wiser, but with such a valuable and rare headphone I want to make sure I disclose absolutely everything -- in any case, you would be hard pressed to notice these flaws with the naked eye. I tried to capture them with my camera as clearly as possible using a harsh flash (flaw1 and flaw2.jpg), and as such it looks much worse in the pictures than it is in person.
The original box and silk cloth, as well as the original cardboard inserts are included, but the original paperwork is not.
I am willing to bet that you will not find a Qualia in better condition unless you happen to find one that is completely new. Given that there were only 250 of these headphones ever made, I do not believe this is very likely.
