For portable use? Desired sound signature?
post #3 of 126/27/12 at 4:24pmTo me the Sennheiser HD-25-1-ii is better built, more portable, and sounds more neutral. I give them my vote.

I don't think that you can make a bad choice. Make a determination concerning which one offers more of what you want and need and just go with it.

For analytical sound, DT1350 is a better choice than HD25. Both are not so comfortable imo.
post #8 of 126/29/12 at 12:34amDenon AH-D1100 ? Freaking awesome after burn in. Super comfy, great portability

The AH-D1100 is no where near neutral ( analytical ). It has very large 100Hz bump up. Also note the 300Hz square wave response. The AH-D1100 is one of the WORST headphones to reproduce harmonics of 300Hz with. That means just about everything audible has some serious issues.
Compare them here:
HD-25-1-ii

SRH840
http://www.innerfidelity.com/images/ShureSRH840.pdf
Both the HD-25-1-ii and SRH840 blow the AH-D1100 out of the water both for accuracy and neutrality.

I'm actually now even considering the m80s into the mix...
However, I've determined that I can't go wrong with any of the three choices.
