Don't buy any FiiO product from SainStore on Amazon and how to distinguish a genuine FiiO E6... - Page 13

Yeah and when I complained to FiiO about EMUSIC their only reply was that EMUSIC was a partner with their U.S. distributor. I'm starting to think this whole thing is fishy. Really makes me rethink buying the E17 I was planning on getting. But the fake DID (on EQ2) make my music sound better with both of my iems. Amazon is now telling me not to bother returning it. Guess they don't want to pay shipping. Maybe I'll give it to my wife and get something else. Anyone know any other good small portable options?

Digizoid ZO 2 maybe? More money but still pretty small I think.

Sorry, fake products is a big trouble to everyone, even iPhone have fake version in China , in everywhere, but we will paste a anti-counterfeit labels in the future, so you can check it in our website to see whether it is fake or not.

And Amazon have the duty to remove the stores who sell fake products. Amazon does not response to us by now.

what iem's were the one's that benefited from your e6? I'm interested, because I didn't notice any improvements with my Able planet SI500 over the sansa clip +. well, maybe a bit more energy, but it is so minuscule that carrying the added bulk doesn't seem very wise. bigger high impedance headphones are different though - they definitely benefit from amping...

I would have bought my 2nd one from Micca, but they were out of stock.

I'm hoping Amazon doesn't mix up inventory on the E6 for every one "Fullfilled by Amazon".

If Micca is still out of stock i'll try headroom and have them physically check for a serial on the side before shipment. I trust them, but they charge $28 for them.

I'll pop this 2nd one open, but 99% sure it's another fake.

The E6 has not been out of stock. It's not fulfilled by Amazon, but it's there...

This also makes a good point. How about..the legitiamacy of a company goes as far as the company name on FiiO's site. Distributor of an official distributor doesn't mean much, they can get multiple sources.

We will try our best to avoid  our customer buy fake FiiO.

I actually thought of asking you if that was possible as I can do that with other companies and check the VIN of my motorcycles but didn't know if it would sound like a bad question..

Hope you guys can get this sorted out..as it seems there are a lot more each day.

I read up on it and it sounds really good. but I found it funny. Most people won't have chemicals or a blacklight to test so I found it funny

This is in the future when someone asks me or FiiO support:

User:So how can I easily check to see if it is real, (in case someone tried to fake the ID)

ME:........take a lighter to it.

User: To my Amplifier that is attached to my  phone?...

Me:...yeah.....put the lighter with it lit near the sticker....see if it will disappear.

Does FiiO has a "register your device" on the website?

i.e. A user input a unique serial number to the website and the website checks whether the device is original (a la iPod registration system).
I think this feature would kill the counterfeit market.

Hello i just register here to tell you that i bought a Fiio E6 Amplifier from Amazon.uk. The seller's name is Audio AMP. It was a fake one. I tried to communicate with him 3 times but i got no answer so i contacted Amazon. And now i'm telling you guys so people from Fiio (and forum users) know about it and if possible do something. Be aware.

Maybe you can also contact Amazon and get refund from Amazon, we now just try to find out all the seller who sell fake FiiO, not only FiiO is victim, anyone who bought fake products also is victim, we can work together.

Amazon has been really good about taking care of this for me. For anyone that gets a fake, use the "Contact Amazon Custom service" from the seller profile area.

For both fakes they gave me a refund without even sending the product in! I sent the product back using their prepaid shipping label, but now I think Amazon might not even require it back.

There's also that chance they could go back into circulation, but that's highly unlikely.

Now I have to wonder how many people out there are using an E6 and thinking it's real. I was almost at the point where I was positive mine was real. Glad I looked more into it.

BTW I bought both with the $3.99 Amazon Prime shipping. I don't believe they refund that, but it's possible they did.

I think it is important to track not only the stores selling them...but also the company that is MAKING THEM. Some companies may have bought them by mistake from other companies and from some central master company or few of them that are producing these fakes.
