Have you considered the SR60?

 

It's a killer headphone, and it's fun. Especially with the genres you listed rock, classic rock, and blues.

 

Guitars and Grado's go together like peanut butter and jelly.

I am really thinking that it's either going to be the sR225is or AKG 702s.

What about the AKG q701? at $40 more than the Grados I think it would be a good option?

Sennheiser HD558s are great headphone, just want to find something a little better.
