Amp for ipod

Thread Starter

Hi,

I'm looking into what I hope will be my last audio expenditure for some time!

I'm looking for a portable amp to use with various iPods (7g, 5g & iPhone) to drive Westone 4Rs and Beyer T70s.

I'm a reasonable newcomer to the whole thing, so I'm as much looking for a guide as to what is out there in my price bracket so I can research them myself. Any suggestions and comparisons/opinions are also very welcome however!

Price range in the €400 ($500, £320) region, although if there is something very worthwhile a bit above this, I'll be willing to consider stretching the budget (I have yet to buy a single audio item within the original budget I set for myself. I'm weak, I know)!

Many thanks,

Hammer.

Portable headphone amplifier.

Fiio E11 ($65)

For $20, buy a few extra batteries and a battery charger off eBay.
