For $20 you can't go wrong if the player is new. If it is a refurb, then it might be problematic. Philips players are mediocre. There is no card slot for memory expansion. Is this a 4GB player for $20? Iff you only have a small amount of music it is okay. If you have plenty of music, then I suggest you  buy the Sandisk Clip+ or Clip Zip if it is under $50. These Sandisk players have a microSDHC card slot, so you can add a cheap 16GB or 32GB microSDHC card if you want.
