I'm going to try some customs...

I've been curious about CIEMs for a while now and have decided to finally give them a try.  I've decided to go with 1964 Ears for several reasons.  First, price.  Second, I've read nothing but good things about them.  And finally, their location is just south of me by about 2 hours.  I figure the shipping back and forth (if needed) will only be a day or so each way. 

 

So the "who" part is done.  But the "which" part is still up in the air.

 

I've thought about having my CK10s turned into customs.  A part of me thinks this a potentially smart foray into virgin territory.  I know what they sound like, I love the sound, so why not?

 

Well, as much as I love my CK10s for critical listening, almost all of my listening is more a casual, just enjoy-as-I-go type.  And for this, I don't necessarily want a neutral IEM.  I prefer a bit more bass and fun.  This has me considering the Quads. 

 

And then there's the Triples...sheesh.

 

I'm getting the impressions done tomorrow and will be shipping them out on Thursday.  So I have until then to make up my mind. 

 

Any suggestions?

Yup

 

Keep the ck10's as you'll want something half decent to listen to whilst you wait wait wait for your customs to turn up!

I think I'm back to too many IEMs and need to downsize again.  The plan is to have one CIEM for everyday use and one IEm for the gym.  Two total, and that's it.

 

So I'll be selling off a few in the next few weeks.

If you are planning to downsize your collection, it is better to do it once your custom arrived, so if you are not pleased with the custom, you can sell the custom and go back to your old iem. Just for the sake of saving you from the regret
