The TDK Ba200 is my first IEM and after using it for 2 months, I am very pleased with the built quality as well as the comfort and isolation it provides given that a pair of medium and large comply foam ear tips are provided.
It is sturdy and solid with flat cables that made it a breeze to use unlike those messy and easily tangled wires of my iphone earphones. However, its plastic lightweight housing makes it lose out to those metal housed IEM in terms of solidity.
Being a dual balanced armature earphone, it has smooth mids and detailed sound and good clarity. Personally, the bass was just sufficient and neutral although i would have preferred it to be more impactful and hard hitting as I previously owned a ATH-M50 with dynamic drivers.
The highs are relaxed and laid back and this in fact improves the three-dimensional soundstage with incredible depth.
In conclusion i feel the tdk ba200 have good value especially if you can get it at a sale as i have at 169 dollars however it has limited availability.
