For Sale:
3 DIY Orthodynamic headphones

Will Ship To: CONUS

Selling because I want to venture into other hobbies. I've enjoyed making and perfecting these.. If nothing else, someone could buy these for the drivers..

1. Starbucks SFI Headphones SOLD

2. Second set with red cable are modified sony MDR-v150's. Open back. SFI 120ohm drivers. Much modifying was done to get them to how they sound.

Cable is a 4ft hand-braided silver cable with Neutrik 3.5mm jack. Sound great, no problems.

I've replaced the white earpads with black ones, black looks better with the RED and YELLOW...more classy.

$50 + shipping

3. Third set are the headphones made from popsicle sticks. Layered, solid construction. Fostex T50RP drivers. I used paxmate and blu tak for dampening. Screws hold the baffle and the enclosure together.

Sound great, no problems.

$65 + shipping

#2 and #3 were featured on the front page of IF's headphone contest

See below for headphone measurements.

Will be charging a 2.9% PayPal fee with above transactions.

PM me with offers!

Can you have decent-sounding closed-back orthos, or is it strictly open-back with them? And what about using them with an iPod with the help of a portable amp?

If it's worth looking into, I'll look into making my own orthos..

The Fostex are the best drivers/phones to use for ipod-driving.

Both open and closed. The fostex rp-t50 work best closed back, but the SFIs are both ways.
