well i felt the mids and treble sounded very wierd from what im used to, the pads were squeezeing my head rather hard too, so it wasn't comfy. but mostly, i felt the soundstage on the HD558 was a lot wider, so i liked it better
post #18 of 276/25/12 at 8:51pmIf only there are closed headphone with near hd558 comfort and sound characteristic.

that would be the Shure srh940, its soundstage and comfort is amazing too, detail is better than HD558, but less bass then the HD558, but treble is so high i find it almost biting to my ears
post #20 of 276/25/12 at 11:45pmA bit expensive for me and high treble is a no no for me. HD840 soundstage is it smaller than 940?

edit: owh by the way, its SRH940, not HD940. HD is for Sennheiser headphones

http://www.head-fi.org/t/593365/the-soundstage-head-club/45post #24 of 276/26/12 at 6:15amI just post there. Yeah I guess something dark and soft but with sufficient clarity.
post #25 of 276/30/12 at 10:12amHi guys im new here... Im from malaysia too and the prices here are amazingly high compared to US. on that web site you shared, i managed to find the DR150 in a bundle for MYR 519 (164 USD) bundle consisted of the headphones, the CiriCiri amp, and a pair of crossroad iems. I still really want to get my beyer dt1350 though (bundled at Rm1299 (409 USD)- with the ciriciri or phonak 012 or Goldring DR150) and do need an iem to replace my current one which are dying.. some advice? my maximum budget is Rm1500.
