Bass - quantity - IE80 > EX1000 > 4R > SE535

           quality - EX1000 > SE535 >= 4R > IE80

Clarity - SE535 > EX1000 > 4R > IE80

Mids - SE535 >= 4R > EX1000 = IE80

Highs - SE535 > 4R = EX1000 = IE80

Regardless the product price, where is the position of SE215 in your above comparison?

I havn't heard the IE80's yet or the normal SE535, but my SE535 LTD's sound great! With EQu, there is plenty bass and it is fast and concise.

SE215 would probably be better than EX1000, W4 and SE535 bass quantity wise, but it pretty much gets crushed by the others in everything else.

I was thinking about the IE80s as well, but have a question about the isolation. I have the 215 and 535s and love the way they really seal. Does anyone have a comparison on how the IE80s isolate compared to the Shures?

They definitely don't seal as well.

IE80 has a better soundstage and bass. SE535 is better in mid. If u prefere listening female voice annd SE535 would be ur choice. IE80 is better in classic music. For me, my ears begin to feel uncomfortable after wearing IE80 for 1 hour.
