What are the benefits of a headphone amplifier? I know what an amp does in a car sound system so I'm familiar of it's purpose but I would like to know if it would make the m50s sound better..

Hmm, you may need an amplifier for the M50... headphone amplifier usually improves the volume, soundstage and others.

Just read this... This is the perfect example of trollism... It just take some hours of reading to realize what is said in this thread, but anyway all the conversation is funny in the end.
