HELP! Choosing a Headphone! Extremely Detailed! - Page 2

I'd strongly recommend the KRK KNS-8400s, the 6400s' bigger brother.  I believe they fulfill all your criteria.  Very detailed and well-extended on both ends of the spectrum, but darn near neutral, to my ears.  No over-exaggerated bass, but impact and depth are still excellent.  $150 on Amazon.

Maybe I've missed a buyer or two, but only folks who like heavy (as in way beyond neutral) bass have expressed love for the Ultrasone 500 series.  Can't see how that sound signature is a plus for games and movies--unless it's all explosions.

Good cans--but they need an amp.
