Basically we should be able to get a portable rig going after we have confirmed that hiFace 2 is indeed compatible with MK802 running Ubuntu 10.04 Linux. Then connect the digital output of hiFace 2 to portable DAC from iBasso or RSA etc.
After that, use a smartphone or tablet as remote control:

Sound quality should be relatively nice for the money.
Full size USB port of MK802 should have USB host function enabled so even USB DACs might work with Ubuntu:
