I have been talking to Luis about getting a pair of his headphones because I have been dying to hear them. The build quality on these look truly fantastic.

I may have to eat Ramen for a month to afford the headphones I want to order from him, but damn!

Luis sent me to his new website, it allows you to customize the paradox headphones.

My second pair of Paradox is coming soon.  Now with a Schiit Mjolnir driving it, it gotta be one hell of a reference level phone.  If things come out like  I have plan, I might sell a couple of my dynamic phones that I dont listen to anymore.  Damn you LFF my other phones hate you.  I of course cant thank you enough.

Not clear from the description on the site what ear pads the standard Paradox uses. I found the stock ear cups very uncomfortable.

The Fischer 003 pads.

Is it me or at the new site did LFF change the basic Paradox price?  States 460 for basic Paradox for me, if the new price range is accurate - might get a Mad Dog instead

I use one of two pads...the 003/HM5 pads or HiFiMan Pads. Both sound the same.

That's not really my site. It's a distributor who works with me.

The price is different because he includes the headphones and pads.

With my normal prices, you have to send me the headphones. It's basically the same unless you can find a cheaper T50RP used and send that to me.

Right, thanks for sharing that!  Time to go back to the drawing board and rethink my upgrade path again.

Currently with SRH 940 & CEntrance DACport.  Thinking of getting a desktop amp/dac + hp upgrades.  HP-wise needs to be closed, so currently T70 looks like a decent upgrade, but the Mad Dog and Paradox both look pretty interesting, if only I could demo them.

Others things to consider - I may be relocating in a year or two and my SRH940's are just about 6mths old.  So right now I'm not sure if I should be contented or go upgraditis lol

I don't have any stuff that you have, I'm trying to build a good portable myself and the only "desktop gear" that I may have in the future is probably a tube amp. I also am looking at headphones, have a stock t50rp waiting to be sent for Modding. However, before all this I'm going to concentrate my cash and get a fostex hpp1 first. I already have pretty decent headphones and I'm waiting impatiently for the hpp1
