The amplifier was designed by a guy named Tangent ( Warren *something*) who was quite active in
headphone amplifier design (Meta42, Pimeta, PPA etc.) --> see some details at http://tangentsoft.net/audio/meta42/
Two years back I was able to score the original boards and buffer chips from a guy on Ebay, and went from there.
All I can say is that the amplifier has plenty of power.... maybe not enough to drive AKG K1000's, but all the rest :)
