Inquring about the song: You Give Love a Bad Name.

Wanna ask, have anyone listened to Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name"?

There's a certain instrument which give my spine a chill... like metal brushing sound.
But it is accompanied with the drum. So I'm not sure what instrument is it.

Anyone who has listened to that song before, any comment?

Thanks.

I would guess it's just the cymbals. I've heard the song a few times, and never noticed anything that stood out to me, can you link the song with a specific point where you hear this sound?

I asked similar question in this forum "Lowyat-audiophiles (subforum)". Link is here: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2383194&hl=

Basically, some Bon Jovi's songs have this kind of chilling effect on me. I wonder if it's the brushing of the metals on drums.

cheers, looking at drum covers, the sound your hearing is a closed hi hat, followed by a bass kick, then rim hits on the snare or toms.

If you watch some drum covers you'll get to see how they do it :]

Saw the live version of the song.

So it was the drum that sounds so piercing!
