Superglue + scotch seems to works for me .I think super glue is not enough, only scotch  prevent the cracks to be "bent".

my friend's one was cracked at the inner part of the interconnecting beam (the one that has the 1,2,3,4... written all over it)
and it was cracked there twice

oh, ok, this part  is the most bothering. So far , I  got no problem there. Maybe your friend has a too big head.

Anyone's headband disintegrating?

Wow.. after several months, my 940 has totally failed on me.. So many cracks!!

Here is an update of my 940 frown.gif

Left Side

Right Side

Thankfully, the new super glue I bought has been keeping the cracks sealed properly. The two open cracks (orange circles) are the ones waiting to be super glued soon.

I'm probably going to send it to Shure for warranty replacement soon and sell the replacement here. Does anyone know if the warranty replacement is brand new headphone or is it just the cracked parts replaced with the new parts?

It's pretty painful to watch my headphone disintegrate so quickly and helplessly..

I like them quite a bit, hope they improve on the plastics material. My 840 cracks too.

I patch then with glue too.

great job. It seems that the pads are deeper too ?

nope, pads are original stock pads.

Ohhh, very nice. Headband looks a lot more comfortable too. Was that a headband taken from another pair of headphones and modified? Looks like a Beyer headband with better padding. Wish I had the ability to modify my headphones and do something like that (or I lived closer to Germany)!

Under the sales of goods act you are allowed a refund for any electricals upto a year. Don't let policy's rip you off they have broken their end of the contract by selling faulty goods. Don't go to shure go to the seller research sales of goods acts and show to the seller ask him under the sales of goods act are you denying me a refund... If he sea yes then take him to court as he's breaking the law.

Holy cow that looks nice. Great job!
I just sent my SRH940 back to Shure for repair under warranty. I have no idea why Shure couldn't have designed a better headband system...........
