Haha,
Seriously though,
Some action like a driver replacement is needed,
For the countless hundreds of poor souls with beats
Edit:
I bet the fake Chinese nock offs have better sounding!

I seriously believe if a mod thread or actual product that used a term like "beats booster" ,
Wich found a viable replacement for the garbage driver, I think it would take off as well as be a great help to have more audifiles of headfi-ers to appreciate what a real headphones can sound.

This website community would grow,
and newcomers would learn to be more educated in this technology.
We have a whole younger generation with access to their parents money! (Lol) to infuse this market with innovation on appearance, as well as design.

This beats popularity is a chance to take all headphones in general to the next level, in terms of social status and outlook.
So that a future where everyone who steps out of their house wears a can around their neck would be the norm!

Here in Argentina like >50% of students I see wearing headphones have some variety of fake Beats!!!!!!!!!!

The beat's are crap, there's no doubt about it. (When compared to Sennheiser, AKG, Grado....etc)

However, that's no excuse to act snobby around somebody who does have a pair. If they're happy with them (even if it is in ignorance) then let them be, it's their ears.

I think Beats could extract the driver from their headphones and there won't be a big difference in their sales. I think a lot of people just want to have that famous 'b' logo over their head.

Ummm . . . except most people buy Beats to be cool or hip, itself a form of snobbery in an attempt to make themselves better than others.

This is incorrect viewpoint.
We have an moral obligation to inform and enlighten our younger generation in all things, and these "beats" being one of them.
This thread is entitled "constructive" and as such I must now say "beats suck" and they are total garbage that look oh so pretty.
Point is it is a moral imperative to make the. Truth known or injustice will reign.

OMG lol you just revealed their next lineup lol.
Edit: they will sell empty shells and include the "setting" for the drivers of whichever headphones you previously own!
They will take over the world ! Lol

I wouldn't say so.

Here, about 60-70% of teenagers are strolling around with their beat solos on their heads or around their necks.

If they wanted to be better than others, then they would want to stand out above the rest. Wearing beats doesn't make them stand out, because so many people are wearing them these days.

Another thing.... I don't get the whole thing about them looking great.

I honestly don't think they even look that good. They look as cheap as they sound to me.

That's the wrong assessment of the situation. It makes them stand out from the people that don't have them. Beats ARE DEFINITELY considered a status symbol among teenagers. It's the in thing.

There's more teenagers who have them than who don't.

Therefore, having a pair doesn't make them stand out, even if they think it does.

Do you not understand what a status symbol is? A majority can have a status symbol. It's what sets them apart from the minority.

They're focusing more on the ones who want status symbol and want to flaunt how much more they have over the ones with status symbols - like Nicholas Cage's lines in Gone in 60 Seconds when he was in the Ferrari dealership talking about the F355 that everyone will drive to the restaurant, vs the classic (I think the classic California spyder, not sure) that he's looking for. In a similar fashion you don't need to be close to Adolf Hitler at a time when having blonde children in the Hitler Youth (or basically, not being French, Slavic or Jewish) was a status symbol already.

Actually I have opened up, successfully modded a few and played around with the drivers from the Studios and Pro's. To be honest, the drivers from the studios are pretty good, slap them into a decent enclosure, remove the NC/amp circuitry and you have a decent headphone.
