Hey guys, I have a huge worry about the Heaven VI:

How much bass does these actually have? I know they are not bass head IEM's, but I definitely want more than I have with Zero Audio Tenore, which are in forums described with similar terms.

What about the sub Bass? Are they comparable to the Sony MH1C in this regard?

I only have the V, but it has significantly more bass (sub bass) than the Tenore. The VI is suppose to have more bass than the V, so you should be okay and have nothing to worry about. The V is quite better than the Tenore in my opinion.

thanks! good to hear.

I see you have the FX850 too. Between them and the Heaven V, which do you like more?

I heard that the FX850 has more Bass and its sound is more colored with a lot of body, which is creating a "wow" factor.

Does your Heaven V have at least some of this quality?

Thanks~~

I like the FX850 more, but that's just preference. That doesn't mean others would like that signature more. FX850 is on the other end of the spectrum. The V won't have as much  bass (nowhere near it) as the FX850.

The FX850 to me is just that much more fun to just pop into your ear and forget about everything.

I would solicit Vwinter's opinion on the matter. He has my FX850 at the moment and he can probably put it into more useful terms than "this phone has more bass/this phone is more fun", which is probably just a tad important to someone looking to spend a sizable amount of money wink.gif

I listened to the PFVIII today...lovely sweet sound but the fit and isolation are a bit too complicated to me...

Big ears are a definite plus with the PF-VIII and IX. Of course isolation with these phones is near zero, but that does add to the sense of realism, IMO.

He didn't ask for a dissertation on the sound signatures of these various earphones. He mainly asked about bass. So it seems as if you're suggesting he needs to be force-fed more than the information he requested. Sometimes that's all people want to know. They want to know how much bass or how much treble. They want to know if the sound is a fun signature or a more analytical one. Why not just add you own insights or offer your point of view without negating the point of view of others? Just a thought.

I have huge canals, and the PFs kinda float...feel they will fall down, impossible on the go.

I'm not negating anyone's POV. I don't speak on phones I don't own; I heard the Heaven VI many moons ago, but memory is a very faulty thing to rely upon. Which is why I deferred to V, a friend whom I trust is able to elucidate upon the qualities of phones with the best of em. I don't believe anyone goes into purchasing a phone, or should do so without doing some thorough research. You risk buyer's remorse that way. That and not all opinions are equal or in agreement. (Like I don't agree that the Heaven V is better than the Tenore - different yes, better? Debatable) That's why we accumulate a broad spectrum of them so we can average the data.

My IX kind of lays in the hollows of my ears. The nozzles of the phones do not enter my ear canals, but rather angle toward the top of my ears. At any rate, they stay in place very securely. I can shake my head rapidly from side to side and they don't move at all. They do sound truly superb. (with the genre's they like!)

Might want to revise this sentence.

"He has my FX850 at the moment and he can probably put it into more useful terms than "this phone has more bass/this phone is more fun"

Otherwise, people would assume you are suggesting that a persons quick response to an inquiry lacks effecient terms in comparison to your friend's.

I am just trying to prevent a latent argument is all.

I agree, to an extent that is.

This usually applies to the people who are in an inconvinient location to auditon x amount of iems.

However, let us all not forget that the user may still suffer buyers remorse from any comment on the internet. Just giving him a good description of an iems SQ no matter how short is enough for me.

But I know that your posts lacked an ill intention. This is just for anyone thinking otherwise (not meant at you eric. Just for anyone who believes that the posts may discriminate anyone elses input about the iems in question.)

Thanks for your input vlenbo. I won't comment on it any further.

Yes, it's true that i only asked about the bass, although I always welcome more input regarding the Heaven Vi. There is just too little information about these on internet.

The reason I mainly asked about the bass is because I already informed myself about many of the other aspects of the Heaven VI on this and other threads, so intended to clear some remaining questions.

Putting that aside, I hope it isn't true that the Heaven VI is an analytic earphone. I thought they are just reserved than the "fun" phones in, but still far away from analytic.

I expect them to have at least a good amount of energy in their sound, since they were described as more consumer/mainstream friendly than the rest of the FAD lineup.
