I should have my Pandora VI by the end of the week.

^ and ^^, really looking forward to hearing impressions of this!

I'm letting my Pandora Hope VI go in case anyone is interested. Haven't had time for these lovely headphones because I'm always up and out! :\

So I've gotten reacquainted with the Heaven V these past couple of days. By far one of the most satisfying presentations I have heard.

Can't agree with you more vwinter, haven't had a single itch to upgrade my IEMs since I got them. And those PHVI reviews can't go up fast enough! I'm just waiting on them so I can click "purchase" with a peace of mind.

I didn't wait for reviews and went for it, got them for a week and I still can't believe how great they sound... there are very easy to drive, even straight out of a smartphone (Galaxy Note 3).

Note that my "highest end" headphone so far was the open back Shure SRH1840, and as far as closed back the Sennheiser Momentum so I don't have a lot of references in that price range. Maybe that's why I am stoked by the sound, very open for closed back, lot of detail but not fatiguing, lush mids and very 3 dimensional (sorry I am not yet deep enough into audiophile experience to write a review and find the right word).

The only gripe I have is comfort, earcups are on the small side and the driver touching the ear is hurting a bit after a while but your mileage may vary.

The PHVI came with heaven IV as gifts and I have a totally new appreciation for the holistic approach FAD has to sound, I'll probably give an audition to Heaven VI, maybe FI-BA-SS but I am less into bright earphones (sent back the IE800 because of too much brightness).

Well I received my FAD Heaven V couple of days ago and on first listen it was great but more I listen more I'm somewhat confused. They do not sound good at all pair with my Colorfly C3. They are better with iBasso Dx50 but still I find them very picky with the genre if music. Like their site description they do well with acoustic / live music but not so well with alternative rock. Not sure about this one. I think they have low hours on them so maybe a should let them play a bit. Merry x'mas everyone

Do you find them warmer than you expected?

They are very revealing, may be some recordings aren't of the highest quality?

Alternative rock bands don't have much money to invest in record production...

Heavens are the best with vocal-heavy music, complex instrumental passages aren't their strong side.

Hmmm... Insight. Curious if this is a perceived problem. They definitely aren't cold lol. I'm finding that I love the bass on these things. A lot. It's in my wheelhouse and very expressive. But it does warm them up a bit. Not nearly as warm as the G-2 or anything like that though.

I only really get the iffy results with music that's supposed to be cavernous and ambient, like the T:SCC soundtrack. Not bad, but not as good as other stuff, specifically because they do have that live sound presentation and it's not the best meshing. Haven't really had much to complain about for most rock music I've tried them with.

Then again mine is the Aging model which is obviously soooooo different than the others. rolleyes.gif

This is mostly true in my experience, not from an imaging standpoint so much as a resolution one.

For anyone that likes hip hop, I'm seriously enjoying Acid Rap on the Heaven V. Gonna give it a go on the ASG-2 next.

Ah, yes. I think the sound warms up over time. Isn't that what the Aging means?

Not sure, but I do know that the word "robust" is involved in some way.

One of these days, I'll figure out when you're casting the line for me.

Heaven VI can resolve complex music very well. It is really as good as the source (and amp) though. As a single BA IEM, it is not going to weed its way through a swamp. It has to be fed clean.

(Heaven V should be similar but the VI sounds more refined to my ear and I didn't have enough time on the V to reach clear conclusions.)

No I don't find them too warm. Not sure what is bugging me with the their sound but it might just require more time with them. I'll try with jazz.

Like I said they sounded good with Sara Bareilles and Jack Johnson but not so good with King of Leon. I consider the recording to be good with my other IEM and headphones.
