It's a lot harder to do something genuinely novel with headphones and have it succeed IMHO. Still FAD being FAD it's nice to see they're apparently sticking to hybrid driver arrays in full-sized headphones again.

I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read this. Also, BA in a full-sized headphone... Where is the one eyebrow raised smiley when you need it.

Now, wasn't this a FAD thread?  wink.gif

I'll try to come up with a classy photo when mine arrive to make amends with the thread.

Difficult to complain about that.

Good to hear. I was thinking of using them for my next purchase. I wonder how warranty coverage works with them.

Did anyone try this forwarding service in Osaka before? Someone in Hong Kong tried that forwarding service already and that seemed to be OK

For those of us who would like to save quite a bit on fees as well as shipping, their pricing looked pretty good especially for heavy items such as 300,000-yen Pandora X. (Or officially PANDRA X instead?) I was surprised to see that 100 yen flat-rate handling fee for each package.

If that 300K MSRP were indeed the real deal, that would be just a little lower than the street price of SR-009 these days

The "Pandra" thing is a typo. Engrish. Basically if you look on the actual badge of the headphones in those links, you'll see it says "Pandora" on them. They just misprinted it in the announcements.

Also I'm pretty sure the price of the Pandora X will be closer to 1500 USD. This is according to FAD Taiwan and Dimitri at Musica Acoustics. Though I suppose they could have changed their mind at the last minute?

I am so excited you are getting a Heaven VI man. I can't wait to see what you think of them. I am STILL liking mine more and more each day that goes by.

Be patient with them. They will grow on you, like a good FAD should.

Sorry guys, just now catching up on the thread.

Ian, I am hysterically laughing at this. Totally made my weekend too. I love this thread, I love you guys.

Thanks for the compliments on the photo too. PF is so definitely inspiring.

Interesting news from FA. Design seems to be missing here

So that's gonna be the end of October and doubling that 1500 USD projection?

Sending holiday greetings to you all... this one's called "The Final Equilibrium" ;-)

Nice one James.

Though that balancing act is freaking me out a little.

Wow. That is both an amazing and a terrifying shot. I would have been standing about half an inch out of frame ready to pounce should I even feel the slightest bit of wind.

I love the color temperature. Is that straight out of the camera?

Great photo, James! — I have to ask, though, is that the FR graph of the 1601SS in the background? Are meant to interpret that the midrange in these phones does indeed shine and is possibly even heavenly? Does that graph imply we can see the light through these phones?

Wow!! Talk about balance and reflection! Love it!

I booted up the VPN and watched the video. I'm kind of digging the retro styling of the first headphone.

So do I.

If I had to bet, I would say that the photo is untouched.

Haha that's my decision making technique too: "if I had to put money on it..."

I'd agree with you. It kind of reminds of how they depict California in movies.
