I love the double entendre, for lack of a better description. And the yellow is quite nice, too.

That was really, really good.

I want to hear more how the Heaven V aging is compared to the ones I have, mostly the HVI and SS.

Hope they are as conceptual in the sound as they are in the finish.

woodcans,

You gotta post those hi-res man! It's too good, I have to have them. I like yours too, Ian!

Arghh, the scratches James.. Though it is still no where near as bad as turning them into flower pots!

Don't worry, I gave up on the flower pot idea pretty soon... Turned out to be a total flop, as they kept leaking through the vents.

Did you check out this listing on kakaku.com, which has been there for quite some time? Don't know if the seller actually has stock, but might be worth contacting them (mail link in bottom left corner).

Yeah, I tried a few different listings similar to that, and in every case the seller didn't have stock. Often times they'll simply lump them in w/ the newer 1602SC and then send you one of those if you put in an order too.

I had some folks who worked for FAD check all of their supplier networks a few months back, and sadly the wells have all mostly dried up now because FAD actively encouraged suppliers to send back unsold stock. Not sure what FAD then did with them, but even they don't have any 1601SCs left (they do have SBs and SSs tho).

"Spirit of Eden" if one of the very best albums I've ever heard (of any genre).

--------------------

Three versions of the same song:

a) The (1969 original) English version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujIbpt-CCTY

b) The (2010) Norwegian version (turn the volume down first!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqx6m7TVkMc

c) The (2007?) 'Asian' version: http://vimeo.com/46324676 —— Unfortunately the youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWS3ofzuiMU) no longer contains the audio (for copyright reasons), which is a shame as it not only had the actual musicians, but, more importantly, it contained only the music and nothing else [no talking and no sound effects])

My personal preference:

a)  FI-BA-SS
b)  PF IX
c)  Either

Hi MuppetFace,

Is the rose gold model similar to PF X-G in terms of finish?

I try to look it up but there seems not much information or impressions from current owners.

Would they sound similar to the current model of PF X?

Thanks

Hi Music_4321,

I happen to love Talk Talk as well.
I love The Color of Spring, Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock.

I think Laughing Stock is their masterpiece, because simply they throw away the manual book and create the genre-less Laughing Stock as their finale.

I love their spiritual journey and my fav track on it is New Grass.

Have to dig my old collection to try out PF IX.
I have not touched my AKG K3003 after PF IX arrived.
