"Mad Dog" by MrSpeakers, modified Fostex T50RP review - Page 348

As funny as all this is, let's get back on topic... Mad Dogs. I'm sure new owners wanna actually talk about the headphones and what they bring, not all this nonsense about names. wink.gif

Someone please tell me, why the name has been called into question?

I fail to understand why anyone would think the Mad Dogs, don't have a name...

At a certain point a headphone reaches its climax, in which, the MD speaks for itself.

At this point, well, this is when banter ensues. Carry on! biggrin.gif

All I can say about the Mad Dogs is that I have a pair en route to me and I am really looking forward to finally hearing them. I don't know what to expect other than them definitely being an upgrade to my DJ100s.

They're better in almost all respects than the GR07. wink.gif

Can one order the mad dogs with the Vader stickers already applied? I like the look but I am clumsy so I do not wanna try it myself haha

I believe that there is a notes section on the order page where you can request that.

Yeah I am currently filling that out right now, just wanted to double check if it has been done before sending the order

I included it in the order notes, we shall see.

Okay I guess Dan already previously mentioned he "ships them ready for stealth" so that answers that!

Good choice going for the stealth stickers. I have yet to get around to ordering as I'm moving next week but I will be shortly after. Can't wait to get them in and apply them to the apathetic chihuahua... my neighbor's pet, not my Mad Dogs.

I couldn't find this anywhere: are the Alpha Pads the same as last year's Dog Pads upgrade just rebranded? Or is this the 2nd version
post #5217 of 6388
Different pads.
No, not a rebrand at all, completely new pads. If you go back a few dozen pages you can probably find more impressions about them, someone else might remember when exactly they came out and can give you a more accurate date. They're real leather, bigger, and angled. Edit: way to snipe me MLE wink.gif

You dont see people calling LCD2 with vegan pads VLCD2 or whatever.

Denons D7000 with J$ pads aren't J7000. LA7000 is different because it's fully modded.

A swapping of pads alone doesn't justify a name change.

Oh my, if I came off as I didn't like the name then I'm sorry. I personally am in love with the name mr.speakers as you can tell. Mad dog, I can't lie I would like to see partydogs, an overweight yellow lab rollin over some guys done cig. butt and the guy has two pitchers of beer in his handsbeerchug.gif. This was just a lil headphone art project I've been working on hoping to raise money for autism speaks. Maybe it was the way I was raised but I always thought imitation is the highest form of flattery. If you thought I was steppin on mr.speakers toes I promise you it wasn't intentional. I was hoping to finish them up and send them off to dan for testing and auctioning. I think him selling would probably fetch the most money since he has much more street cred. I know this is asking allot but I was hoping maybe he would throw in a fr graph or custom case for a good cause. If this bothers you guys then I will def. stop and again I apologize.
