I'd certainly agree with this and own both.
^^^ +3, except don't own the HD650, but have heard them several times. I've had very sibilant (ultrasone HFI 780) as well. The MD's are some of the least sibilant I've heard (D7000's and 1964 Ear quads also come to mind).
agreed, the treble was really never sibilant at all... it also laked sparkle for me.
Although really and truely it is a THICK neutral can, I think my issues was I don't want a closed neutral can. The dt 880 is my refrance and for on the go sound I might want to pick the color I like and go with that
Still I'll miss those big sexy pads q.q
still all day the Mad Dogs had some SERIOUSLY awesome isolation! That alone makes it worth while! Good neutral sound and great isolation.
I'm happy to hear you enjoyed them :D, I had that moment when I put on my dt 880s for the first time out of my hybrid tube :O
Tell me about it, sadly the w1000x Scales well with amps as well -.- oh well another reason to buy a new amp for me seeing as my current desktop amp has pissy rca ins. I think I might save some pay checks though and go for a Dark Voice
ALO Rx mk3 works pretty darn well....
Is it just me or did this thread turn into a big gathering of midrangehead?
On a side note, if Dan offered a white Mad Dog, I'd jump on the thing, call it the best thing since sliced bread, and end my audio journey.
The only reason I haven't gotten a pair of MD is because I don't like the look of the stock T50RP...
