Made me chuckle

Got my mad dogs today from a fellow head-fier.  Plugged into my magni.  Still encountering some electrical issues with static/usb ground loops trying to eliminate them though.  Wow these things are great.  I am coming from D2000's and these have more detail, lush mid range, instrument separation and much better mid-bass.  The super low rumble isnt quite the same but I can live with that.  It is very comfortable if not a little tight.  I also tried plugging into my old Nikko NR-315 receiver, about 15wpc.  Sounded great.  Didn't do a lot of A/Bing there.  I will say these things need a ton of power.  Magni has a ton of gain and I am up to around 11 oclock with them compared to 830 with D2000.  

I will try them straight from my E7 and see just how much a difference there is for everyone asking if portables can adequately drive them.

edit: e7 can drive them OK.  Sound lifeless compared to with magni.  Bass lacking.
