Headphones with a big soundstage (spacious surround sound) at a budget price.

This thread is kind of embarrassing, but i need help finding a pair of headphones that have a surround sound kinda spacious sound. I remember Listening to my brothers headphones; they were like those cheapy ones that you get at a pharmacy, but it had a wonderful sound. Everything in the headphones surrounded you, and it was an on-ear model that wasn't even from a higher end brand I don't believe. It was those light weight plasticy headphones. I don't not remember the model name or company, but I am trying to find anything to give me that spacious cinema sound at a budget price range. It could be over the ear headphones, I don't care. I just know that there is something out there that will give me that echoy auditorium-like sound that feels like you are watching an epic movie.

My price range is around $10-$90. If anything, what would be the best for what I am looking for?

Here are models I am looking at:

Grado sr60i

Sennheiser PX 100 II

Sony MA series

Koss headphones.

Anything you recommend or can suggest me?

Something that just makes your music come alive, like it's 3D.

If soundstage is your primary concern in that price range, I'd take a look at the Audio Technica AD700

+1 for AD700, I believe it has the biggest sound stage under $200. I've used it for competitive gaming and it's amazing how much better the sound stage is than even the "gaming" headsets. The sound quality is also very nice.

Anything just a tad cheaper? Maybe the next model down? Ore possible something close to that?

It's $79 at SoundProfessionals.com for a refurbished pair.

EDIT: Can't comment on the lower models, unfortunately.

I basically just want something that has an open auditorium binaural effect, like an echo effect. Though, I still prefer great sound quality and bass.

How durable are they, and how long do they last as far as when is it likely to short out?

Headfonia did a review on the AD700s. he also compared them next to the Taiwanese brand Superluxe 668b. I own a Sampson Er850 which is essentially a 668. these are very technically capable phones. the soundstage is clear and precise. check out the review for more details but a great headphone for under $50. headroom also raves about em. these are one of the few that are in my permanent collection. they are quite musical and detailed at the same time. they are also transparent and extremely fast. vocals are stellar.

You get a lifetime warranty if you buy from a verified dealer, so you really don't have to worry.

I only have $80 now, and I am still looking, I heard the sony xb500s have a good surround sound like soundstage and is farely decent, is that true? What other options under $80? It doesn't have to be the worlds largest soundstage just enough to feel like there is dimension into the music, like music is coming from no where or outside your head.
