Well, I've waited the whole day, and my DAC1 still hasn't been sent to me. And since I didn't pay for weekend shipping, it won't be here by the time of the meet. Huge letdown for me, since I was looking forward to trying it with everyone else's gear.triportsad.gif

Yea if you're really inclined towards coming, you are more than welcome to attend. Just letting you know, you should RSVP asap because I won't have internet access tomorrow after 11AM and if you confirm tomorrow, I won't be able to let you in under most circumstances.

Well, some of us are going to have tethered Wi-Fi to our computers so anyone wanting in and just realizing the meet is tomorrow should post here.

Haha you guys will have internet access, but I won't haha. Sure that opens up a lot of opportunities for last minute RVSPs. I'll try to make myself visible at the meet so people can easily find the name tag man.

Anyone got a pair of cheap headphones they never use anymore and would part with that don't sound terrible? Something like Senn HD437, which I have, but one channel just went out (very cheap thin cables and probably not repairable). It's something I carry around with me to check out CDs at stores and yard sales on a Sony Walkman (yes, I still collect CDs). If so, bring it along! Earbuds might do as well, as long as there's some bass. As I said, doesn't have to sound good, just a reasonable approximation. I have a pair of Sony MDR-V6s, self-proclaimed "studio monitors" from the 80s, which IMO are the worst headphones I've ever heard and which I can't listen to - incredibly over-hyped highs that just destroy acoustic music.

Are you attending the meet? And a FYI, this meet isn't a sales/trades oriented meet, meaning no sales or trades allowed. Giving away, not too sure about that but no actual sales are permitted.

There are many benefits to being ones own boss, however there are some pitfalls such as being on call at the drop of a hat to jump on a plane! Sadly whilst at the Rolls Royce event this afternoon one of those calls came so instead of being at the show tomorrow I will be in the air. Sorry guys, have fun.
