You forgot about the IMO, and referring to the highs!

Oh yea that is perfect. Anything with a lot of beats to it. Keep something like that on a loop played fairly loud. It just beats on them drivers silly. I think this works out better than colored noise because the drivers are so stiff.

Indeed, well it's on both my rocoo and fuze/p4 as i can't abide leaving the computer on it's a furnace in here otherwise.

Plus both those players are powerful enough anyway.

Been waiting over a week now, the things are stuck in limbo, it's been saying prefecture osaka ever since the 30th.

God knows where they are, knowing my luck someone at customs is drooling over them.

What is laughable, is that i paid extra for expedited delivery.......

The driver, itself, is sitting in your ear canal. With the customs the sound has to travel through some sound tube. I may try it cute, but I don't expect it to be a sound improvement.

ericp10,  I tried the medium stock tips on the FXD80 again, I couldn't hear the reggae-guitar strumming on the track you posted, by "David Ruffin", it was surely there with my custom tips, not only that but I lost a lot of other details I was hearing, less clarity.....really prefer the custom tips, stock tips not so good for me here!

Looking forward to your comparison versus the Yamaha.

Are the lows, mids, and highs refined over the ckm500s? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on these jvcs, but I don't know the exact amount it'll cost.

Hmm, more separation/air around the instraments and vocals, that may make them sound more refined, highs are better on the JVC, IMO.
