Anyway, how is the sprinkled on carbon nanotube dust coming along, do these have good hyper dynamic range like very quick volume changes?  Fine detail?  How does it sound versus the FXT90?  How is the soundspace?

I have about 40hrs on these.....using my custom silicone tips.  I have the low end EQ'd to +2db at 30hz and 60hz with a -4db cut at 125hz to tame the midbass hump resulting in vocals being more clear.....I have used these EQ settings on the likes of the CKM500, ASG-1, W4R, RE272, I think this works well with the custom silicone tips (the Aurisonics Silicone Custom Tips tend to make the bass sound a little light without EQ)  Vocals are upfront, as forward as the CKM500, vocals are as good as the CKM500 for me, male and female.  Using my tube amp, very good tight bass and the best soundstage depth and instrament separation that I have ever heard, with a lot of air.....the notes are warm, slightly thick, and I don't think they sound lean at all, as others have mentioned.  Vocals are clearly separated from instraments they all appear in their own proper space.  The highs I am hearing have a lot of detail, so far I don't think they are overdone at all, sounding very accurate....tips may be making the difference here.  I am getting a good wide soundstage, with very good 3D effect, I can place each instrament.  I use "crossfeed" settings, so that helps with the soundstage and instrament placement effect.  I would be happy right now if they didn't change at all with more time on them....these are a steal for the sound reproduction that they produce.  Can things get any better than this?

Just impressions from listening so far, liking them very much, they sure have their own sound sig!

I listen most of the time to my home gears.....jRiver Media Center 16 is an Audiophile program with  settings to produce excellent sound reproduction out to the rest of my gears.  There isn't a portable player that could give me as much pleasure.

They do get better actually. Give them a good workout and they should start to open up more so for you @ around 100 hours. Hey I have nothing to do with it I am merely suggesting to others what I deem a great value for the bucks paid. You guys know how I do. I dig these little earphones. Sure they are not perfect by any means but they sound right to my ears.

So yea they get the thumbs up from me.  Ultimately paying $21 for a FX40 or $121 paid for one of these. If my tunes sound right on them then that is all that truly matters to me. Enjoy them newly discovered iems. I look forward to see what AT and JVC has for us in the near future..

By the way I paid exactly ﹩﹩85  for these from the JVC online shop with the LEATHER CASE and there is only 1 day left.

Thanks Dsnuts......and hey let me know when you find that perfect IEM/Headphone, they will never exist, but they are on my "bucket list"!  I am sure enjoying the FXD80 and the CKM500, and I gave up a lot of highly regarded IEM's looking for something better to fit my sound preferences.  Both of these do it, I can live with these, thumbs up here!

Ha, I wish. I'm in Jamaica right now, and I don't quite trust the post office workers. Besides, I'm saving all my love/money for the AS2 upgrade. Not to mention that I'm more or less content right now.

See now I am jealous I wish I was there too. I would give up my FXD80 for a trip to Jamaica..And don't tell me you ain't doing any of this. Lol! I bet your content.

I am looking forward to the ASG-2s myself. Will keep tabs on that thread for the upgrade.
