Ok, thanks. I think that you actually might be onto something with the "bigger hole" thought, because sometimes when I put the iem in my right ear, it sounds very muffled - like it's not working properly - and once I shift it around a bit, it comes to life. Not really sure what that's about (hopefully not a faulty wire), but maybe the hole is gets closed off or something. Anyway, I'm keeping the 70's/80's in mind for sure.

I wouldn't call the D70 better than the D80. At this point I would actually call them equals but with different sound signatures.

Now if you are going by better meaning one is more 3-D, then the D80 wins easily.

What are the best tips for comfort? The medium hurts my ears and the small one lack the bass. FXD80

Oh man after some good amount of intense burn in, these FXD70s are finally starting to open up. Needs less volume to get that enjoyable sound on my ipod nano, and the bass seems to have gotten a bit bigger/ tighter. The mids on these things are just crazy all over your face-like with tons of amount of sparkle on the highs. WOW, man i am gonna cook these in for wayyy more to get them really nice and loose. Scared of how much they might improve tbh. L3000.gif

I wouldnt buy the S400 in your case, go for the 70 or 80's.  They sound even better and are more techincal than the S500.

 

sfwalcer tipped me off to the 70's on ebay for $60 (free shipping). Stupid good price. So the 70's it is!

ok.. lets start

 

 

FX40 (had a bunch of chepos at that point) =  blown away, in love with these thing

S500 : sweet lord jezus ... the bass the 3d the volume.

FXD80 :  ooh my gosh. what just happened here? i am loving it over the S500... YES! for sure. everything es more clear and more 3d.

FXD70: at first, it was OK, good... FORCED me to use them 3 days straight,  my gosh.. the mids, the cleanes , the bass is liket butter the mids are silk.

 

S400... waiting frown.gif

 

Next Buy ... next week:  FXD60.. why?  because,,  why not? rolleyes.gif   if i am gonna die, i am gonna die with the boots on!

 

Nail in the coffin:  FXZJVCOWNSMYWALLET Iem

 

Hopping they realease them next year because of my empty wallet:   50mm CNT Heaphones


And you guys want me to talk about how these things sound?  why not ask for my wallet?????

 

 

 

i signed in these forums beacuse i was looking for a replacement for my Sennheiser HD 280Pro  and in one 5 months i have purchased a bunch of JUNK and all of these Jvc Greatness!
