Denon Officially Announces Its New Headphones! - Page 57

Bummer- Amazon just raised the prices to list, so it looks like the discount was just introductory.  If they bring the discount back, I will be compelled to order the D600.

The new ones are sealed and actually provide isolation. I would also assume they don't leak as much but I'd have to ask my wife about that. Denon is providing a portable cable so they clearly think they are portable but my early impressions of that portable cable are pretty poor from a fidelity perspective.

If anyone is interested, Denon AH-C300 (Urban Raver in-ear) is in stock at B&H.

These new headphones are so ugly IMO, I guess I will wait for the next model D8000 or D7200. :)

Everyone is entitles to their opinion, but I think they look like sleek modern works of art.

The D7100 is still ugly, but a less uglier beats knock off.

You should see how it (in my case the D600) looks on your head when worn...

Any reviews yet on the AH-NCW500SR globe cruiser headphones? They look pretty good.

I was really hoping the 7100 would be a refinement and step-up from my D7000, but I was pretty disappointed when I heard them. Very artificial sounding without the fun of the D7000.

Fostex makes superb speaker drivers in general. I've heard of Foestex speaker drivers amd multi-track recorders long before I heard of anything else from that brand.

Are the new Denons made by fostex?

If not who are they made by?

seriously? this has been discussed numerous times.

No not made by fostex, free-edge drivers are a speaker technology - we suspect Boston Acoustics could be doing it since its D&M holdings, also I THINK someone said the new OEM is American.

Where are the new Denons "made in"? China? Has someone already answered this question?
