I like Steve, but we have very differing views on headphones. His tastes tend to run dark and bassy.

Dark and bassy FTW. Down with sharp, bright, peircing, ear drum destroying headphones.

Balanced is better than either extreme, IMO.

Case in point, he really likes the new Noontec Zoro, and it's most definitely not balanced.

You like balanced?  I thought the SLI-80 only takes single-ended input?

Possibly the funniest joke I have ever heard!

I would like to see Denon D5000 Sub bass with smoother highs and bigger soundstage / better imaging than the current Denons.... If the D600 acheives this then I will definately be trying them out... Also they should remove the treble peak at 6-10khz.

Har har. smily_headphones1.gif Actually, I do need a nice balanced amp, or two, for my new Wilsons. Sifting through the bazillions of options out there is making my head hurt.

That's exactly why I like Steve and trust his reviews more than anyone else.  It seems there are two types of audiophiles- Steve guys and Tyll guys.

I'm sorry but the D700s look way better than these.

I don't really care about the looks. I won't wear those things outside anyway.

Sound quality and pricing are far more important imo.

When is the release date for these in the UK?

Would it surprise you that I get more weird looks wearing my FA-003 out and about than when wearing my PS1000?

Wow, could they possibly have made those look more like Beats without getting sued?

I read the german announcment PDF from denon

Depending on the model the new denon headphones will hit the market around august and septemer.

Though I dunno if they will be out at the same time everywhere else.

Can't wait for the first real impresions.
