taking a break from headfi

Thread Starter
being totally honest here, i have found myself getting increasingly annoyed with headfi in general lately. ex. constant redundant threads, milestones, it's my 1243rd post threads, i'm a supremus threads, so and so is going to be a supremus threads, it seems to be coming so much more prevalent lately that i find myself not enjoying the headfi experience as much as the good old days. i think rather than continuing to post my frustrations in the threads i think i will take a break and see if this changes my perspective. i don't think it will, but i will continue to lurk and just keep my posting in the shut down mode for awhile. for the friends i have made here i will continue to check pm's and respond to them but you just won't see me around for awhile. see ya round, we'll see what the future brings. no more complaining from this headfier. which i'm sure will be music to some members ears, so to speak....

Sad to see you go, but we all need to take some time away to refresh and recuperate and as long as you come back, it's all good!

Paul,

Hopefully the stay away is brief and that you get your perspective back. I for one will miss having you around to chat with, so don't stay gone long. Stop by and vent about how long its taking to get your Stax cans repaired every so often if nothing else.

I don't disagree with you at atll fyrfytr. I hope you feel that you can return to full posting at some point. Take it easy, either way.

Aren't those just in the member's lounge? I'd take a break from only that.

Everybody needs a break so it's understandable.

Every forum has its turnover rate. Think of a forum is a kind of eternal return...the same questions are bound to be asked over and over as newbies are born everyday, elders passing away. Certainly you realized this.

MuahahahAH!

Well, that sucks because your posts are always among my favourites to read. I like posters with an edge and attitude. PC and namsy pamsy posts bore me. I'm sorry that your taking a break.

do it slowly or you will go through withdrawal. sometimes I think that TI and TIO exist because we come here and do not want to leave. So we wait around hoping that someone will post in the headphone, sources or amp sections. I know I do.

Eh, he left before.
He will be back.
Take care of yourself out there in the non Head-Fi world. I hear it's pretty rough out there.

I like you. I'll miss you.

See you when you get back.....

It's good to take a break from it all once in a while. It refreshes your interest, not to mention your wallet.
