Hello guys,

I'm new to this forum.

I want to buy new headphones (Because i bought beats by dr. Dre and they F...... SUCK!!)

Now, i saw some headphones on the internet, but i can't decide which to take.

They will be used for just listening music on an iPod, while travelling, while using FL studio, and later maybe for DJ.

I'm considering about these headphones:

Technics RP-DH 1200 (€109,-)

Ultrasone DJ1 Pro (€175,-)

Please don't mind if my grammar sucks; I'm from the Netherlands ;)

I need to know it within 2 weeks.

Thank you very much for your time, and tell me what you think or which will be better.

If you have 2 weeks, stick around for week, and read, you will learn more then any one person can tell you.

Then post back, the odds are you will have a much better idea of what you want so that we can help you better with the details.

Good luck!

Ps i give you some answers, but I am not on purpose, for your own good

Thanks for your response, since I'm not an audiophile I don't know what a sound signature is.

Which do you think are better? Or don't you know both of the headphones?

Thanks.

Sound signature is how you describe the sound of the headphones:

Bass: quality and clarity are different, muddy and bloated is bad, can be tight (hits quickly and doesn't hang around) and sub bass is what you feel, mid bass is the punch aka impact.

Mids: forward aka upclose, or distant/recessed, can be intimate and engaging or cold (lots of small differences are found here, and often make a big difficult to describe difference)

Highs: bright = emphasized, can be harsh or smooth, sparkle or be dull.

Soundstage(how much space it feels like they are generating) and imaging, how well individual sounds are located in the soundstage

Just out of the two you listed I'd choose the Ultrasone (Technics is no longer the great company it once was, and its headphones are pretty cheap and simply don't sound great from my experience), but there are many options beyond that.
