Up for sale are a pair of much sought after and remarkably good sounding Audio Technica ATH-ESW10JPN.
These came out in limited edition a few years ago, and to my ears, and many others as well, they are one or possibly the best sounding portable ever released.
My headphones saw about 6 months of daily use in my office until I decided to use earphones exclusivly. I bought them about 3 years ago from a fellow member of Head-fi who bought them directly from Japan. From use and storage, they have some minor scruffs and a couple of scratches that one will not notice unless examining the headphone closely.
Included is the original box and pouch.
Limited production of just 1000 pieces produced worldwide, the Audio-Technica ESW10 premium headphones feature an ultra stylish design and exclusively developed 42mm drivers. Each headphone is handcrafted and the black cherry wood housings finished with a traditional ‘Echizen’ lacquer – a process which takes 3 months by skilled Japanese craftsmen.
The cherry wood housings deliver superb acoustics and the cups are lined with the highest grade lambs leather for total comfort. The exclusively developed driver units are integrated with a high rigidity baffle containing glass fibre to reproduce perfectly the midrange and treble. Luxury doesn’t come much better than this.
