Congratulations on the purchase of the iFI iUSBpower. I'm glad that it did put a massive smile on your face.
But philosophically speaking (ha, ha, ..) in general something is wrong with the picture.

The price of the device is only $199 .... and the ODAC is under $149 (assembled).
So, the power supply is at least $50 more expensive than the price of the ODAC itself.
If it were, say the Benchmark - DAC-1 (~$1600) or DAC2 HGC (~$2K), etc. this would be another story.
I guess, we're living in the crazy Head-Fi world.
By the way, my new JDS Labs ODAC with the included USB cable (with the ferrite bead)
connected via the FiiO cable (from JDS Labs) to the standalone O2 (also from JDS Labs) sound crystal clear and clean through the Beyerdynamic DT 880 (250 Ohm).
Am I not a Son of a Gun?
I am sure that objectively and subjectively speaking the ODAC and/or O2 are not meant to rely on expensive power supplies.
