How you like your DT 231 (vs. DT-250) + pics

I can get this at 45 bucks.

I'm considering this OR the DT 250 which would cost me three times that of the DT 231.

I will be using them with my sony de-j925 (5mW*2)

I will be using them in car, train (silent train journeys in comfy chair). And perhaps, biking (i hate the swoosh sound when biking so I will only use the phones doing this if they don't swoooosh)

And, of course, at home.

I'm a comfort maniac (phew, those velvet headband senns ) but perhaps the DT - 231 would make up for less bells and wissles comfort wize, with their lower weight??

How well is the isolation of the DT - 231??

Oh, and of course, some spice to make my thread interesting:

DT-250

- and if you sorely feel like recommending other than those, philips and senns are what I can get at good prices in stores. The mdr7506 is available to me at a higher price than the beyer 250 so I don't think anyone will recommend THAT...

the 231 wasn't circumaural for me when I tried the, the cups are really small. and the 'velvet' is kindof hard and not even resembles Senn-comfort. not for any active stuff, if they even fit your ears. isolation is pretty much zip as well (might be better if they're circumaural for you tho).

the 250 is a much saver bet, and the Philips 890 sounds like it might be a nice pair of home cans.
