i had a go myself, but only as far as playing a song off the memory card.

must say, that part was not hard at all.

I have gotten used to it, but I really don't like it. I thenk the D2+ was better as far as intuitiveness, and even that ui was not so great. However, once you set everything up, getting music to play is fairly simple, and the sound makes it worth it, big time!

have to admit, the sound did seem much better than my clip zip and w3s.

gonna go back and give it a longer trial.

I think the EQ on the Cowon's is what makes them great. When I did a side-by-side comparison to my iPod Touch, both with EQ flat, the iPod beat both the D2+ and the C2. But with EQ on, the Cowon wins big time! Of course this is subjective, and I am NOT an Apple hater. In fact, I love Apple stuff.

You are mostly correct imho.

I have an ipod touch 4G and a cowon C2.

But when I add the app sonicmaxpro BBE the touch has virtually the same sound signature as my cowon.

I agree,...SonicMax Pro makes them sound almost indistinguishable.

Now that would be awesome! I have the EQu and Equalizer apps for my Touch, but I did not like having to use their proprietary music browser instead of the native Apple browser. Does SonicMaxPro allow to continue using the Apple selection browser?

Maybe check out the screenshots of the UI on google 'sonicmaxpro app'.

I usually use flacplayer app mostly.

No, your required to use the SonicMax Pro app to play the music in. I also wish the settings were system wide,...

The Z2 is nice, but the battery is not the same as other Cowon's. Also, for those of us wanting just a music player, the Z2 is overkill.
