Hi I am looking to see if an amp will improve my sound. I currently have the following headphones

MonoPrice DJ Headphones 8323
Brainwavz HM3
Takstar 2050
Panasonic RP-HTF600
JVC HAS160

As far as my source I a mainly use my android phone as an Mp3 player or my PC. (I play alot of games)

I have a usb adapater to contect to my PC as my onboard audio I am saure sucks on my motherboard.

Anyways was wondering if and amp would make a difference or if I would just be wasting my money thanks.

I don't think you need an amp for your headphones. However, the E6 can tweak your sound to your liking, sort of an EQ with their changeable EQ settings. Although you can do the same thing to your source...

Try the E6 first before jumping to your purchase.

What about buying a Dac instead (Fiio E7)? all of your headphones are easy to drive.

A headphone will make more of a difference. Maybe you can upgrade that.

If you can list a headphone thats 50$ thats an upgrade by all means do it. I am on a budget.

In 50 bucks an amp won't be an upgrade either. Better save it for later.

the original post talks about the E6 which only cost 26$. I have seen several posts saying the e6 improves the sound in HF.

It "might" improve, but you "might" just hear that the 'volume just gotten louder, and thats it' when you use the E6, unless you use the EQ settings from the E6. You can also try to save money and sell some of the headphones you really dont use, and buy for a 'better' headphone instead.

you are bringing good points, i auditioned the e5/6/7 whilst the e7 was the biggest improvement in sound quality. the e5/6 just seemed to make the volume louder and give that impression that the music has changed sonically. sonically only the e7 seemed to change the quality.

imo you would be better off saving your money

If your looking for a decent/better pair of headphones for around 40-50$ then try the kicker hp541 headhones.

Using an amplifier on your other headphones probably won't do much unless you have a decently high grade pair of headphones.
