Sennheiser HD 598 headset mod (reversible)

This mod specifically involved the AntLion ModMic http://www.modmic.com/. It requires this specific mic because it has a magnetic attachment. All you need is the mic and two disc super 12mm x 3mm magnets (neodymium). The adhesive provided with the mic does not stick well to the metal grill on the earcups. In order to keep the mic from sliding, super magnets are able to solve this problem. The magnet shown below is easily removable. Mod takes only about five minutes. I'm assuming the magnet will not affect the electronic components.

The first magnet is placed w/in the center of the earcup chamber. It was pure luck that the magnet was able to fit perfectly w/in the ring.

The second magnet is attached to the mic itself. The mic has its own magnet, but it is not that strong.

Do the magnets in this mod cause any interference with the speakers?
