I'm Done (Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition) VS GR06 - Page 26

I've just come across these IEMs and now I'm confused as to whether or not to get these over the gr02.
RHA MA350 Aluminium Noise Isolating In-Ear Earphones - 3 year warranty
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0053R0WWG/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_gb?ie=UTF8
The gr02 has better clarity, but the RHA is overall smoother and doesn't add 'sibilance?'.. And I can get it in the UK with 3 years warranty ^_^

Using this as my guide

I just love sound of my gr-02 be  with sandisk sansa clip zip, but i found them quite uncomfortable. Every earbuds from pack just dont fit to my ear. I have to push them very deep to stay in even when easy walking. Like this, they not for two hours listening for sure. Is there any replacement earbuds from other manufacturers, cause i dont wont to sell them for they sound excellent! Is there any solutions? Thnx in advance!

The meelec M9's old balanced bi-flanges were pretty good with the gr02be but unfortunately I think meelec know sells the revised version of these tips,  which I didn't like at all and couldn't get a good seal. IMO the gr02be sounded the best with de-cored shure olives.

Thnx on quick replay, ill google it to finde something more on this shures. But sound itself on gr-02 is not problem for me. Its good as it is. Only comfort and size (they seems to small and unfitting. Is it worth looking for Monster super tips or something like that?

They are not new - these are the standard tips that come with most of the other vsonic models. They are made for smaller nozzles, so yeah, not for the gr02be even though you can probably force them on with quite some stretching. Still I wouldn't suggest it. As I said you can try the meelec M9's tips - you can buy the whole combo set and hopefully you will get good fit with a pair http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronics_Eartips_p/ts5-cmb-50-bkgy.htm . Also, as I said the shure black foam sleeves (aka olives) work exceptionally well with the gr02be but you have to remove the cores first, which takes a little bit of cutting skills - after that you just cut the stems of a pair of gr02be's tips that you don't use and put them on the gr02be's nozzles and put the decored shure olives over them. I like the medium shire olives size-wise. Comply foam tips will also work (the 400s series should all work according to comply's site) and won't require you to remove cores or anything. On the downside comply foamies get dirty and have to be changed a lot more often than the shire foam tips, which can get a bit expensive in the long run and you'll still have to initially buy several sizes to find the one that fits best for you.

Actually, going with your requirement for bigger tips and shallower fit - if you want silicone tips you might probably just try the meelec m9's standard black double-flange tips. They will also be available on ebay.

Hi Fellas, I also want to purchase the GR02 Bass Edition. I found these two offers on ebay (both trustable sellers according to this thread):

lendmeurears:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221338980083&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:de

bigbargainonline:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380376622782&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

Now I am a bit confused which one to buy. Lendmeurears charges 4$ less. Is bigbargainonline selling a newer, improved version?

Description kind of implies it. Maybe I am just mislead by the quality pictures and the fact that the tips seem to have a different material.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think there is a newer version of the bass editions. I've purchased from both sellers before with no problems. Take your pick.

i purchased a gr02 bass edition a few months ago because of this thread, and cant thank u guys enough for convincing me.

stock, they were unimpressive. i thought i had wasted my money on something i wouldnt use.

after burn in (if it is even real) and with amp, they are absolutely amazing when paired with e11 and zo (both bass boost to the max), the bass impact is larger than life and this setup works well with every genre of music.

would people recommend an upgrade to the gr07 bass edition if i am a big fan of the gr02 BE? what are the differences?

I upgraded the the GR07 MKII and I've never looked back.  The GR02 is good...the GR07 is in another league.

I agree with what elvergun said.

I bought my GR07 BE last month after owning the GR02 BE for about nine months. The GR07 BE is terrific, and a very noticeable upgrade from the GR02 BE. Better separation, soundstage, cleaner bass.

I've got a problem with my gr02 BE. I bought it 3 months ago. When it's connected to the cowon i9 and it's in the pocket, quite often I hear distorion in the music. But whenever I try to reproduce that by moving the cable or jack, I cannot reproduce. I tested that player with gr07 mk2, and there is not such problem.

Does anyone had such problem? I wonder if I send back to lendmeurears, will they accept it they won't be able to reproduce the problem.

You should contact them about the problem and see if they can offer you a replacement... RMA.  I'm sure they will be able to help you.
