I'm Done (Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition) VS GR06 - Page 22

I love the Blues that come with the GR02 BEs

well, well, well.

These are something. I've been on an IEM binge lately - lot of stress, and this helps me reduce it. Hey, it's cheaper than skydiving and probably safer too! Anyway, I've been playing around with these, the FXT-90s, and the RE-ZEROs. All fine IEMs!

I don't think in terms of what's "best" because although I know there are ways to measure musical output, there are so many variables involved (personal preferences; time of burn-in; finding the right tips for you; differences in dynamic signatures, etc.) that I don't think a judgment of "best" would be anything but very subjective.

That said, these are really emerging as my favorite - or at least, that's the case today! What worked for me was finally figuring out how to get the clone Sony hybrid tips on. Foam (for me) screws up the sound too much; tips without the plastic tube in the middle don't bring out the full spectrum of sound enough for me and I have trouble getting a really great seal. These for me are just right.

Anyway, I'm glad this thread was here because I never would have tried these without it. I love the strong bass; I love the fact that you can FEEL the bass, but I'm not a basshead so I look for other things as well. I like the fact that I still get nice detail throughout the spectrum. I like hearing clarity in the drums, but I also like hearing "sparkle" at the highs and mids that do not overpower, but come in nice and clear.  So far, so good!

It's also raised a question and I'd like to get your responses. I'd like to stick with VSONIC as I seem to be on the same wavelength with them. I'd like something with a little more controled bass - but without sacrificing the overall power of the bass in the BEs! Just a little more balanced presentation. And then a bit more clarity all around and distinction at the high ends.

NOT a major change in presentation - just a bit of an upgrade all around. What do I go for? The 02s non-bass? the 04s? The 06s? The 07s? It's hard for me to really be confident, and you guys are the experts.

Bottom line - I love these. They speak to me. So not looking for a radical change, just looking for a few tweaks to get the sound just right - for me.

Thanks in advance!!!

after much experimentation over many IEMs, that's the method I finally decided on and it works the best. Much easier to manipulate the nozzle in and out of the tip shaft, stretching the tip shaft a bit and finally geting the tip onto the nozzle.

I bought these IEM's based on this thread.

Love them.

I'm now having a can version of this with my recabled Uptowns.

Thanks for OP's recomendation.

The upgrade for the be would be the gr07 BE . It is what you are looking for , but a strong warning is that they will need at least 300hrs+ of heavy bass music burn in on full blast using a portable source smily_headphones1.gif

Hi - I'm assuming this is responding to my earlier post, number 317 above, regarding something that's just "better all around" than the 02 BEs - but still coming from the same place?

I did follow up and read the thread on the 07BEs. Sounds like they would be it. The problem is that I don't think I can budget for it right now. Looking at the 04 Flagships as a possible interim upgrade. Interested in thoughts on that.

The gr07 BE is worth so much more then the price they are going for. If you can save a bit more money and buy them smily_headphones1.gif

Get the GR07 BEs - they are fantastic - also lendmeurears ran a price drop not a too long ago so watch for that again - think I got mine (2nd pair) for 140 ish.

I am listening to all this advice. I appreciate it. So many different ways to go...hard to decide.

I still, believe it or not, have a thing for my old Nu-Force 6s. If I ever figure out which is closest to it but better of the newer Nu-Forces, I just might do that! :)

Don't have the GR07 BE's, but I do own the GR07 MKII and they're awesome. The MKI's were also fantastic when I owned them.
