Portables with balanced sound and slight bass hump?

Hey guys,

Looking for a set of portables with balanced sound and a slight bass hump. Currently have Audio Technica ATH-A900x for home and UM3X IEMs, any recommendations for portable (or at least semi-portable) circumaural or supra-aural headphones with a similar sound signature?

Thanks!

From previous discussions the ATH-ESW9 or Shure 840 perhaps?

AKG K81 / K 518, with the thick foam pads removed and the headband bent a bit to reduce pressure on the ears, fits this description pretty well and is cost-effective.

Thanks for the recommendation supersleuth! Would the HD25-1's be worth considering too?

Haven't heard the Senns. They're supposed to be top-notch, if you don't mind the somewhat steep pricetag.

IMO the HD25's fit your needs perfectly, if you can stand the boring looks (for some).

I like the way they look IMO.

Thanks guys, I might wait for the Amperior model to be released but the Senns do sound like the way to go.
