Will be happy to share mine once they come in. Although I can't say I'm thrilled with the 3 week waiting period.

Just curious, how would you compare these to your DT770's and/or your AKG 701's. Been thinking about picking up one of the two, probably the 701's. Wondering how the Meze 88's would hold up against them.

a buddy of mine has a pair of the 701's. i seem to remember them having a wider soundstage, and they (akg's) have more detail while at the same time managing to have a thinner feel to them as well. whereas the 88's are more fun sounding yet have less clarity.

edit: another issue i found, is that the on ears are comfortable in short periods, but after an hour its just too painful to keep wearing them. they simply grip too tight. but when my over ear pads come in i'm sure that issue will solve itself.

It's been a while since I've owned either the Beyers or the AKGs, but they're closer in tone to the DT 770s (80 Ohm). Nothing like the AKGs. I think if I had to buy again I'd choose the Beyers over the Meze, since they're cheaper and more comfortable.

I'm "cautiously optimistic" as they say.
not expecting to be blown away by any means, but wouldn't having a relatively decent headphone with a nice look to them.
what I really want are the ATH W3000 Anniversary edition - just not at the price that it's going for. ;)

these seem to be pretty tough to find and things sell out on the site real quick so grab em before the sale ends in 4 days.

That's how I initially came across them.

I bought the 88 Classics. They shipped yesterday and will be here on July 12. I'm pretty stoked to see how they sound in the Schiit Asgard/Bifrost combo!

I found those headphones long time ago in alibaba.com
OEM chinese firm offering an apparently nice product. Good for you if you are happy with them.

Let's not be unfair. Most electronics come from China. And anything that will not be produced in China will have a much higher price-tag. Important is what they are. They are great! :)

I am really happy with my Meze 55Classics! When I use them I don;t think of China. Do you think of China when you are using your Apple products? Cause they are made in China as well.

And I am sure they have not been designed by a random Chinese factory. They are obviously styled with care and good taste and engineered by somebody who knows what they are doing.
