Feedback for Justin's Headphone Modding (jschristian44) - Page 11

There is a lot that can be said here, I encourage everyone to be as courteous as possible.  Those who are not "victims", please avoid cluttering the forum with excess posts that does help bring resolution.

At this point, the best thing to do for everyone involved is to move this to PayPal Resolution rather than assume this will be fixed on the forum.  Justin has made it clear that he does not have the money to issue refunds.

I would like to point out that until yesterday, I did not feel cheated.  Justin made it clear to me that he would have my items ready before leaving for Alaska.  Things have snowballed, and it is unfortunate that extremely poor communication led to this.  In my situation, I would be mostly content with the rest of my goods shipped out to me and my $30 refund.  At this point, Justin's credibility means very little.

Mrs Smith:

I feel empathy for you and Fred.  This situation has gotten out of hand, and you have been thrusted into it all because of Justin's irresponsible actions. Unfortunately, those actions have real consequences.  I urge you to communicate with all involved in order to sort out those who have money, goods, and property due.

Justin:

I feel you are taking this too lightly.  Your reputation has been scarred.  A good business can turn a bad experience with customers into a positive one if handled correctly -- this is no longer possible.  Too date, I feel your poor communication caused things to escalate.  A few emails could have prevented most of this.  Accepting all these orders and forgetting who purchased what is foolish at best.  Expecting people not to become angry when you disappear and get banned from Headfi shows your lack of respect for the circumstances. I urge you to see this through to the end respectfully and seriously.  Most of this will be resolved through PayPal; however, you possess other people's property, they have every right to theft has occurred in this situation.

Everyone else:

If you are not a "victim" and do not have anything constructive to contribute, please do not post.  A cluttered thread will not help resolve this any quicker. "Victims", if you have not created a claim with PayPal, do so immediately.

I have a hard time believing its even Justin's mom. It mau be Justin himself. At least thats what I believe.

Because If Justin parents knew nothing about this why did they make a headfi account?

Please stop making posts along this line of doubting, it's not helping anything.

This is Justin's mom and I am talking to the people who Justin owes money too. We are going to deal with him when he is home. Would you please drop this forum , I know what he has done and the people who I need to deal with I will . I have my own lap top so that is why I joined to see what is going on . I got a call from someone on this post, and wanted to see, so I had to join. We trusted him, that is why my husband gave him his paypal, so we are the one's who are in trouble right now. So once we get in touch with Justin and find out password we will see who he all dealt with and compare notes

"We will try to make this right" = "We are going to deal with him when he is home"? You mean September? Who wants to pay hundred of dollars for a product that might be delivered six months later--especially when it is from someone who has a bad reputation?

We are sending products back who ever emails me and the money part we are checking with paypal . My husband is taking care of that. We are dealing with problems now , not 6 months from now . Justin is the one , we have to deal with when he gets home in Sept.

Not sure if that is a rhetorical question, or Justin tried to trick you, or he has got so confused that he himself was unsure of what was sent and what was not. But he should be able to give you a tracking number if he really did send it right (now this is a rhetorical question).

I thought I would post a quick update.

May 27th issued 2 Paypal claims.  Within 15 minutes of the claims, one was closed with no resolution due to tracking number for partial goods.  I called Paypal this morning to re-open the claim and dispute the status.

I PM'd dsmith and have yet to receive a reply.  dsmith's status shows she has been on since my message was sent.  I feel I have been respectful and patient throughout this process, but my patience is wearing a little thin.  A reply would be appreciated.

I will continue to update with each step.

Thanks for the update. I myself have sent emails to Mrs. Smith's and her husband's personal email addresses. I am too awaiting their replies. I thought Mrs. Smith was better with PM, though.

I also have pm'd dsmith and emailed Justin on the gmail address mentioned earlier in the thread. No answers yet from either source.

I am hoping this is only a Memorial Day delay, and nothing else.

Sure, It would give the administration team more work to handle, but considering they seem to spend an inordinate amount of time chasing other meaningless things, it might be more useful to the community in the long run.

I know that inexperienced users may see a member of the trade title under a user and feel they have been vetted so they are therefore safe to deal with. This is clearly far from the case.

Being in the trade doesn't guarantee competence or honesty. It's simply a moniker to indicate somebody is in a for profit making situation. It allows members to filter bias. It was a fine use of the moniker. I thinks it's other's assumptions about 'member of the trade' that are the issue here and not the mods designation. Him actively selling services here without the moniker would be a worse situation.

True. But if you ask around, I would bet that at least two-thirds would think that "member of the trade" represents some kind of endorsement.
