Setting up a subwoofer to PC

I just bought some Emotiva airmotiv powered speakers and I was wondering how you would go about adding a sub to the system.  I currently have them connected via RCA from my Essence ST sound card.  I have a powered sub that has RCA inputs for both sub Line-in and L/R's, but I only see outputs for wired passive speakers...there are no RCA outputs.  I'm confused how to hook the speakers up with the sub.  Any suggestions here?  Is this possible to do or am I missing something. 

 

I love my sound card and want to use that as the source, I dont want to have to add another component like a receiver or an amp being that the speakers are already powered and so is the sub.   I was thinking I didnt need to, am I correct?

Have to use an RCA splitter. Won't be perfect but you will get sound.

Ok...from where to where?  Split one of the L/R outputs from the sound card and direct it to the sub?
