For sale are my modded and recabled Denon AH-D1001 headphones, lightly used and in excellent condition. These phones have been modded with Markl-type dampening (as described in this thread), and recabled with approximately 4 feet of Mogami Mini Quad 2893 wire and Switchcraft 3.5mm (1/8") gold plated stereo mini plug (as described in this thread). These are the actual headphones pictured in those two mod instruction threads.

 

Asking price is $99 plus shipping (approx. $11 in continental US).

Hi, Bostonears. I have 2 questions. Do you think the modded 1001 sounds similar (mostly, in terms of bass) to the 1100? And would you possibly consider international shipping?

I have never heard the 1100, so I have no basis to compare the modded 1001 to it.

 

I would consider international shipping but because I will only ship via a service with full en route tracking, it will probably be too expensive for an international buyer. (Shipping alone could be $50 or more.)
