jude: Well, actually, I "only" have the DT531, yet. But somehow I trust Tomcat's opinion on the DT770 Pro 250. Still there's one drawback that keeps me from getting one, and that's the spiral cable. But if there's a version with a straight cable, too, I'm in for another headphone - even if I can't hear the telephone or the doorbell ring (or the gas heaters explode - or my neighbour's bumping on the wall, because I forgot to turn off the speakers... ) anymore with its closed design.

I guess I'm one of the weirdos....

....who likes coiled cords. I find them much more convenient. I don't have to pay too much attention to where all the excess cord is (like wrapped up in my chair's armrests, or touching the ground, or about to be closed in a drawer).

Lini, what's your opinion of the 831 compared to the 250 or 770? There was a thread on this not too long ago, but I didn't find (m)any conclusions in it. Thanks for the suggestions. One of the Beyers probably will be my next headphone purchase. My parents have got to think I'm insane, I know my gf does. 3 headphone purchases in 3 months: First the HD600s, Blr's SR-60s are on their way, and now I need a closed phone .
